Purpose of the Position: This is a position of support within the Wellness function of the organization. The incumbent has the responsibility of assisting with the implementation of wellness aquatics programs and provide services to the Immanuel Health Systems customers, AgeWell members and employees.

Assist with instruction and implementation of wellness aquatics programs associated with Immanuel Health Systems and/or any of its product lines therein. This may include researching current trends, sharing resources, awareness education, behavior modification programming and events at the community location. |

Assist with the operation of the swimming and aquatics exercise areas. |

Perform regular administrative duties which may include (but not limited to): tracking monthly data, communication to staff, newsletter input and other communication necessary or requested. |

Provide senior wellness presentations to various groups for the purpose of educating and motivating relative to “making the rest of your life the best of your life.” |

Assist in staffing other areas of the wellness center as necessary or requested. |
Nature and scope of the Position: This is a support position within the wellness division of the organization. Although there may be higher percentage emphasis on specific duties from one person to the next, the position essentially involves each of these functions to some degree. The work consists of diverse activities applied to a range of activities requiring analysis and continuing changes in program, technological development, and requires moderate effort and creativity. Work methods and procedures to be followed are generally defined and the incumbent must determine what actions to take and develop methods or approaches within the scope of the activity. The work receives direction toward accomplishment of program/activity objectives. Supervisor assists with unprecedented/controversial situations. There is opportunity to decide and develop work methods, procedures and priorities from pre-determined guidelines.
Education and Experience: Graduation from college or university in Exercise Science or related field is desired. CPR certification required. AEA (Aquatice Exercise Association) Certified Instructor with emphasis on older adult programming is desired. Direct experience related to the work is desired (specifically with the over 50 age group). Lifeguard Certification required.
