Assistant Family-Teachers
Position Description

We are currently accepting applications for an Assistant Family Teacher on the Omaha Headquarters campus.

Assistant Family Teachers work in conjunction with an assigned Family Teacher Couple, who are responsible for and/live with 6-8 youth in on-campus homes/apartments. This is a shift position working 45 hours a week. (This is NOT a live-in position). Typical hours are mid-afternoon to approximately 10:30PM during the week. Must be able to work 2 weekends per month, one being an overnight weekend.

  • Requires a HS diploma or equivalent, with some college credits or degree preferred
  • Initially can not be enrolled in college courses due to focus/training in new position
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Ability and desire to work with youth.Required to identify what skills are present or lacking and prioritize target behaviors for each youth in order to emphasize maximum skill development.
  • Possess a valid drivers license with a good driving record
  • Willingness to work flexible hours in order to assist the Family-Teaching Couple with youth and home activities.
  • Candidates are required to pass a medical examination and a thorough background check and reference verification procedure in order to determine ones fitness to satisfactorily and safely care for youth.

    Benefits:

  • Starting salary is $11.11/hr. + overtime. You will work 45 hour per week.
  • Medical, Dental, Vision Benefits begin on first day of employment. Active enrollment is required if benefits are desired.
